DETAILS

  • October 13th - 20th 2026

Includes: 

  • 7 nights accommodation in shared rooms with one or two other travellers (private rooms available at extra charge)

  • All transport, including transfer to the border

  • All breakfasts, and 1 other local meal per day

  • Local guides

  • All attraction entrance costs

  • Assistance in planning and booking pre / post trip needs (optional) 

Excludes:

  • Any personal spending (souvenirs, snacks) 

  • Visa 

  • Transfer from the border upon exit (Yandex taxis availale)

  • Any transport and accommodation costs prior and post trip 

VISA REQUIRMENTS:
You are responsible for obtaining your Visa. Most nationalities will require a Tourist Visa to enter Afghanistan, this can be obtained in a few ways:
1) Find your nearest Embassy who offer Visas, and apply via them.
2) Arrive with a few days spare in Termez, Uzbekistan (starting point for the trip) and obtain a visa via the consult here (I have done this twice, so happy to help and answer any questions)​​
3) We can obtain your visa for you via VIP service from Dubai

ITINEARY

Day 1:

  • Make your way to Termez, Uzbekistan (daily trains run from Tashkent / Samarkand)

  • Join the group at our guesthouse 

  • Trip brief 

  • Welcome dinner

  • Optional visit to the Ancient ruins

 

Day 2:

  • Morning transfer to the border

  • Pick-up from the Hairatan Border by guide. Drive to Mazar-I-Sharif and check in to the hotel.

  • Head to the bazaar to get local clothing made and grab some street food.

  • Visit the Blue Mosque at sunset.

  • Restaurant for dinner to try local food!

  • Overnight stay in Mazar-I-Sharif hotel.

Day 3:​

  • Its a drive day! Mazar – Kabul Via Samangan

  • Drive towards Samangan Province, stopping at Jahan Numa Palace on the way.

  • Explore Takht-e-Rustam Buddhist Stupa & surrounding caves.

  • Continue driving to Kabul through stunning mountain passes.

  • Overnight in a hotel in Kabul.

Day 4:

  • Kabul City Tour

  • Explore Old Bird Market, walk around Mandawi Bazaar for shopping and meet locals.

  • Visit Darul Aman Palace & National Museum of Afghanistan, Shrine of Sakhi, Bibi Mahro Hill.

  • Overnight stay in Kabul.

Day 5:

  • Spend the morning at Babur Gardens and head to chicken street for souvenirs before hitting the road.

  • Today is a 4 hour drive towards Bamyan, with beautiful mountain views. Have a go at driving in Afghanistan if it takes your fancy!

  • Overnight at our hotel in Bamyan.

Day 6:

  • Early start to drive to Band-E-Amir national park for sunrise. Spend the morning in the national park admiring the lakes and stunning views. Picnic style breakfast at the park. 

  • Drive back to Bamyan and visit Gholghola city, nicknamed the city of screams.

  • End the day at the Buddhas of Bamyan. 

  • Overnight at our hotel in Bamyan.

Day 7:

  • Breakfast at our hotel, before heading out of Bamyan.

  • Visit the red city before we leave and spend a few hours exploring the stunning city in the mountains.

  • Start our drive back to Mazar, admiring the mountain views on the way.

  • Late evening arrival to Mazar expected. 

Day 8:​

  • Breakfast at the hotel before we start our final day.

  • Drive to Balkh, sightseeing in the Balkh region.

  • One final local meal before we drive back to the border.

  • Drop-off at the Hairatan Border, and end of trip.
